This project develops a framework to understand the metabolic processes in catchments, linking aquatic and terrestrial carbon dynamics. It aims to improve predictions of carbon fluxes in response to climate change.
Catchments are key regulators of carbon (C) and nutrient fluxes across terrestrial and aquatic domains, sustaining biodiversity, water quality, and the global carbon cycle.
