This project aims to enhance our understanding of cancer cell metabolism by developing a method to quantify metabolic fluxes in different cellular compartments. By analyzing how cancer cells adapt their metabolism during the cell cycle, the research seeks to identify new targets for cancer therapies.
The metabolism of cancer cells is altered to meet cellular requirements for growth, providing novel means to selectively target tumorigenesis.
