CanGoNano aims to enhance cancer immunotherapy by investigating the optimal antigen formats for vaccines. The project focuses on understanding how antigen presenting cells interact with different formats to improve vaccine efficacy.
Immunotherapy is at the frontier of cancer treatment, with vaccine prototypes in phase III clinical trials.
However, guidelines for the selection of the optimal antigen format (mRNA vs peptide) to be used in vaccine formulations are still not available.
The glycoscience-oriented CanGoNano DN has identified this gap and proposes for the first time a research & training & innovation action that aims to unveil the molecular mechanisms of immune system activation at the molecular level.
