This project focuses on advancing carbon dioxide capture technology from coal power plants using post-combustion carbonate looping systems. It involves building a 1 megawatt pilot plant to test and scale the process, alongside fundamental research on sorbent properties to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
This project is aiming at the scaling-up of one of the most promising concepts for CO2 capture from coal power plants: postcombustion carbonate looping systems.
