CarbFix2 aims to enhance the geological storage of carbon dioxide by developing methods to convert CO2 into stable carbonate rocks. The project focuses on making this technology economically viable and transportable across Europe through innovative injection techniques and integration with air-capture technology.
This CarbFix2 proposal builds upon the success of the recently completed 7th framework CarbFix EC project.
The original CarbFix received worldwide recognition for developing novel, safe, and efficient geologic carbon storage method, which successfully converted injected CO2 into stable carbonate rocks within two years.
