CARBOCHANGE aims to enhance understanding of ocean carbon uptake under climate change by integrating observations and models. The project focuses on quantifying the ocean's carbon sources and sinks, assessing their vulnerabilities, and providing accurate predictions of future ocean carbon dynamics.
CARBOCHANGE will provide the best possible process-based quantification of net ocean carbon uptake under changing climate conditions using past and present ocean carbon cycle changes for a better prediction of future ocean carbon uptake.
We will improve the quantitative understanding of key biogeochemical and physical processes through a combination of observations and models.
