CARPEDIEM investigates the link between oxygen deprivation in tissues and sympathetic nervous system overactivity in cardiovascular diseases. The project aims to uncover new treatment avenues by exploring the interactions between the heart, brain, and kidneys through collaborative research across multiple countries.
CARPEDIEM combines a unique approach and common interest to employ novel sophisticated technologies to understand the relationship between oxygen deprived tissues (hypoxia) and sympathetic hyperactivity in cardiorenal pathology.Cardiovascular diseases are increasing in epidemic proportions globally.
