This project focuses on developing advanced computational methods for high-accuracy calculations in x-ray spectroscopy. By integrating coupled cluster methods with damped response theory, it aims to enhance the theoretical understanding of physical observables in modern x-ray techniques.
To complement the current rapid developments in experimental x-ray spectroscopy, exemplified by a number of new synchrotron installations both in Europe and outside Europe, a strategy for high-accuracy calculations of the relevant physical observables obtained in various modern x-ray spectroscopies is proposed.
Specifically, new coupled cluster methods will be developed that allow the theoretical determination of such data with unprecedented accuracy.
