CERN collaborates with SESAME to construct a magnet system for its light source facility. This project involves providing expertise and resources to ensure the timely and effective completion of the magnet system, enhancing regional scientific capabilities.
CERN proposes to assist the SESAME light source to construct its main storage ring by proposing to the EU a joint project with CERN.
The goal of this collaboration is to deliver to SESAME a major and symbolic component of its main ring, namely the magnet system.
In the proposed scenario, the EU funds the material and training costs, and CERN provides expert human resources.
The components will be purchased from the European industry.
