The CHAIN project aims to combat HIV drug resistance through a pan-European network focused on surveillance and research. It seeks to understand resistance mechanisms and develop strategies to limit the emergence and transmission of drug-resistant HIV, particularly in Eastern Europe and Africa.
CHAIN is a large scale integrating project aimed to effectively and durably combat new and existing anti-HIV drug resistance in clinical settings, with a special emphasis on Eastern Europe and in heavily affected resource-poor regions in Africa.
