This project aims to enhance the inspection of high power line transmission cables using Long Range Ultrasonic Testing. This method allows for the detection of defects from a distance, improving maintenance efficiency and safety in challenging environments.
There are many thousands of miles of high power line transmission cables dispersed around Europe.
Some are installed in remote areas where it’s difficult to serve.
Furthermore, line cables operate in severe conditions.
