This project examines the evolving perceptions of childhood in Turkey and Britain during the late twentieth century, focusing on how social and media narratives shaped these views. It aims to identify key changes in societal attitudes towards children and the implications of these shifts.
This project will focus on changing ideas about childhood in Turkey and in Britain in the late twentieth century, an era characterised with the erosion of traditional safety nets, increased inequality, and social insecurity.
