CISSTEM investigates neural stem cells to understand their regulation and potential for treating neurodegenerative diseases. By utilizing computational and experimental methods, the project aims to identify key genetic elements that govern stem cell behavior.
Neural stem cells (NSCs) have emerged as a major topic in neurobiology.
The persistence of multipotent cells in the adult mammalian brain offers a realistic chance for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
