This project investigates the role of the claustrum, a brain structure, in schizophrenia. It aims to understand how dysfunction in this area may contribute to symptoms like hallucinations and cognitive deficits associated with the disorder.
Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disease having an incidence of 1% worldwide.
Its symptoms are numerous and range from hallucinations to altered executive functions.
