The ClearPEM+ project aims to improve breast cancer detection through an advanced Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanner that utilizes a highly sensitive photodetector. This technology enhances the identification of small tumors, addressing the limitations of traditional mammography.
Breast cancer affects more than 1.7 million women each year in Europe.
