This project aims to build capacity among young scientists to study the impact of climate change on water management and ecosystem productivity in the Mediterranean region. It utilizes remote sensing and geospatial technologies to analyze ecological changes and improve water resource management.
The aim of this research is capacity building through exchanging young scientist to estimate both hydrological and rates of biogeochemical cycling in order to test hypotheses on the relationship between climate change and ecosystem productivity in the Mediterranean environment.
Remotely sensed-data, GIS and process-based simulation models have provided the capability to assess ecological change at broad spatio-temporal scales.
