This project aims to develop robotic systems capable of manipulating cloth, enhancing their utility in various applications such as assisting the elderly and automating clothing tasks. It combines machine learning and computational topology to improve cloth handling and interaction.
Textile objects pervade human environments and their versatile manipulation by robots would open up a whole range ofpossibilities, from increasing the autonomy of elderly and disabled people, housekeeping and hospital logistics, to novelautomation in the clothing internet business and upholstered product manufacturing.
