This project investigates the behavior of bottomonia, bound states of bottom quark pairs, in heavy-ion collisions to understand their dissociation related to the quark-gluon plasma temperature. It aims to develop new measurement techniques to differentiate between plasma effects and other nuclear matter influences.
The goal of this proposal is to understand the behaviour of bottomonia, i.e., bound states of bottom quark pairs,in heavy-ion collisions.
The dissociation of these states is directly linked to the temperature of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) formed in these collisions.
