The CODE project investigates the decline of trade unionism in Europe and explores new forms of worker mobilization using digital technology. It aims to identify successful strategies for enhancing worker representation and empowerment in the current labor market.
Throughout Europe, trade unionism is in decline.
Membership levels have fallen, the coverage of collective bargaining has contracted, and union influence has decreased in the workplace, the labour market, and the corridors of political power.
