This project develops a comprehensive design tool for optimizing the drag of tiltrotor fuselage components. It integrates existing software with proprietary optimization techniques to enhance aerodynamic efficiency while adhering to industrial requirements.
Objectives.
This proposal describes a methodology to be used for efficient optimization aimed at drag reduction of some components of a tiltrotor fuselage, i.e. nose, wing/fuselage junction, sponsons and tail surfaces.
