The CODIR project aims to develop a novel robotic hydro-colonoscopy system to improve colon examinations. By using water instead of air, this technology seeks to enhance patient comfort and compliance during colonoscopy procedures, ultimately aiding in the early detection of colorectal cancer.
CODIR proposes a new configuration of fundamental and applied biomedical and engineering multidisciplinary research to explore and characterise colon behavior necessary for the project and wider objectives.
