This project investigates the magnetic and electrical properties of patterned nanostructures in various magnetically coupled materials. It aims to explore novel phenomena in nanomagnetism, which could enhance technologies in spintronics, storage media, and sensors.
The scientific objective of this programme is to achieve a comprehensive knowledge of magnetically coupled systems of reduced dimensionality.
Spin configuration, magnetic and electrical properties of patterned nanostructures will be investigated in three kinds of magnetically coupled materials: antiferromagnetic / ferromagnetic (AF/FM), very thin multilayers with perpendicular anisotropy and superconducting / ferromagnetic (SC/FM) bilayers.
