This project focuses on developing eco-friendly flocculants for industrial processes, particularly in wastewater treatment. It aims to optimize flocculation performance through innovative materials derived from natural sources and to enhance collaboration between public and private sectors.
Flocculation is an essential stage in many production processes as well as in the treatment of their effluents.
Despite extensive research over the years, its use at the industrial level is still mostly based on a trial and error approach involving screening of polymers in pilot trials.
