This project develops a Consciousness Monitoring Index using electroencephalographic signals to assess and track consciousness levels in patients recovering from coma. It offers both an automated analysis service for existing EEG data and a real-time bedside monitoring tool for clinicians and families.
When patients recover from coma, determining their level of consciousness can be difficult, even for an experienced clinician.
Our goal is to provide a Consciousness Monitoring Index: a robust method to detect and quantitatively monitor the extent to which a human being is or is not conscious.
