This project studies compact binary systems, particularly pulsar binaries, to understand their properties and implications for gravitational-wave astronomy. The research aims to refine theoretical models of binary evolution and enhance the detection of gravitational waves.
We propose a research program to explore the implications of compact binaries, with emphasis on pulsar binaries, for gravitational-wave astronomy.
Interest in compact binaries derives not only from an intrinsic motivation of understanding their origin and evolution in various astrophysical environments, but also from the fact that these are strong sources of gravitational waves.
