The COMPASS project aims to develop a comprehensive platform for assessing the sustainability of offshore wind farms. By integrating various assessment tools, it seeks to evaluate environmental, economic, and social impacts, ultimately guiding stakeholders in optimizing wind farm designs and operations.
Europe is at the forefront of offshore wind energy, with ambitious goals to expand its capacity from around 34 GW in 2023 to at least 88 GW by 2030 and 360 GW by 2050.
