This project examines the relationship between citizenship and voting rights in post-Yugoslav countries, focusing on how party competition influences these dynamics. It aims to fill a gap in political science by analyzing the impact of national identity on political processes in the region.
The conflict in the post-Yugoslav space has been given considerable scholarly attention.
Yet, many political processes in these states, deeply affected by the dynamics of EU accession and membership, have been neglected by the mainstream political science.
