This project explores how humans perceive three-dimensional shapes using binocular disparity cues. By combining brain imaging and stimulation techniques with behavioral measures, it aims to uncover the neural mechanisms underlying depth perception, with applications in clinical and technological fields.
The ability to retrieve information about three-dimensional (3D) structure in the environment is critical for the recognition of objects and for the execution of actions (e.g., grasping and manipulating objects).
