The ConAn project focuses on improving the design and analysis of concurrent software systems. It aims to develop verification tools and synthesis methods to reduce errors in concurrent programming and enhance performance through quantitative analysis.
Methods for systems and software engineering have steadily improved, but are being outrun by rapidly increasing system complexity.
Much of this complexity is caused by the increasing parallelism (concurrency) and ubiquity (embeddedness) of systems.
