This project develops a novel method using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy to study conformational changes in proteins, particularly the androgen receptor. The goal is to understand the mechanisms of signal transduction and allostery, with implications for treating prostate cancer.
Signal transduction in biology relies on the transfer of information across biomolecules by concerted conformational changes that cannot currently be characterized experimentally at high resolution.
