This project investigates the Assyrian Empire's imperial strategies through archaeological studies at Tell Sabi Abyad. It aims to understand how local communities were affected by imperial practices during the Late Bronze Age, utilizing a range of data types for a comprehensive analysis.
The origins of imperialism, a socio-military system in which hegemony is achieved over alien territories, are poorly investigated.
This applies in particular to how imperial strategies affected local communities.
