CONTRAST is developing a framework to assess the impact of chemical contaminants on marine ecosystems. It combines chemical measurements with biological assessments to identify harmful substances and their effects on marine life, aiming to inform environmental policies.
CONTRAST will develop an integrated assessment and effect-based monitoring framework (IAF) to measure the impacts of CECs on the marine environment to provide a measure of Good Environmental Status for application in EU policy (i.e. MSFD/WFD).
