This project investigates the evolutionary basis of cooperation in a southern African bird species, focusing on behaviors like breeding and predator defense. It aims to understand how these cooperative actions influence population dynamics, including reproductive success and survival rates.
The project aims to understand the fitness bases of cooperation in an endemic southern African passerine and the consequences of cooperation for population dynamics through its effects on reproductive output, survival and dispersal.
