The CORESIST project investigates the dynamics of coalitions formed to resist anti-gender politics in Europe, focusing on the interactions among diverse social groups. It aims to understand how these coalitions can either strengthen or weaken resistance efforts, using case studies from France and Romania.
Gender and sexuality became highly politicized, especially after the emergence of the first anti-gender campaigns in Europe in the mid-2000s.
Mobilisations took place in several countries against sexual and reproductive rights, LGBTQI rights, childrens rights, gender, laws and policies against hate speech and discrimination.
