Gr3n aims to revolutionize plastic recycling by developing a technology that breaks down waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) into its core components for infinite reuse. This approach addresses the environmental issues caused by PET waste and promotes a circular economy in urban areas.
72 million tons of PET (the second most used plastic polymer) are produced each year from petroleum refining.
The same year, 53 million tons of waste PET is landfilled, incinerated or floats into seas and oceans.
