This project studies how cross-border regional cooperation affects knowledge transfer and innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises. It aims to develop a methodology for measuring integration levels in cross-border innovation systems, focusing on tourism as a case study.
This project will provide insightful knowledge on cross-border regional cooperation in terms of how different types of proximity and levels of integration of cross-border regional innovation systems (CBRIS) impact on knowledge transfer mechanisms and levels of innovativeness in SMEs.
