The CyanoSmart project develops a mobile device that monitors cyanide levels in gold mining operations. By providing real-time data, it helps optimize gold extraction processes, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
Gold mines lose $5B in recoverable gold each year because they can’t control their process efficiently.
Having the right amount of cyanide is the single most critical parameter in the gold extraction process.
