CYCLOME explores the influence of microbiomes on the reproductive processes of sponges, essential for marine ecosystem health. The project aims to understand how these microbial communities affect sponge life cycles, particularly under climate change.
Sexual reproduction is one of the key processes conferring marine animals with resilience to environmental shifts.
