The project aims to develop new mission and trajectory management functionalities for regional aircraft to reduce environmental impacts. It will utilize flight simulations to evaluate optimized flight paths and air traffic management concepts.
Future aircraft programs require the development of new aeronautical technologies and solutions for which confidence on their applicability have to be gathered through ad hoc demonstrators.
In this context new Mission and Trajectory Management (MTM) for regional aircraft is recognised to give a significant contribution to reduce environmental impact in term of noise emissions and fuel consumption reduction.
