The DECODE project aims to unravel the genetic networks that dictate cell behavior in developing tissues using advanced genetic techniques in model organisms. It will create comprehensive genetic maps to understand how cells differentiate and respond to their environment.
The evolutionary success of multicellular organisms is based on the division of labor between cells.
