This project investigates how different brain regions specialize in processing visual information. By using advanced computational models and human neuroimaging, it aims to understand the factors that lead to this specialization and how visual experiences shape it throughout development.
Over the last few decades, neuroscientists have identified multiple brain regions that perform distinct, often highly specialized functions such as processing faces, understanding language, and even thinking about what other people are thinking.
