This project investigates how single neurons in the brain process synaptic inputs through their dendritic structures. By developing a computational model and conducting in vivo experiments, it aims to uncover the mechanisms that neurons use to encode and decode information.
Integration of synaptic input by single neurons is fundamental to computation in the brain.
