The DENOVO project explores the relationship between memory and novelty detection, focusing on how different types of novelty affect memory processes. It employs neuroimaging and psychological studies to enhance understanding of memory disorders, particularly in aging populations.
As memorizing new information relies on distinguishing the new from the familiar, novelty detection is closely tied to memory.
