This project investigates how epigenetic processes influence memory formation and cognitive function, particularly in relation to brain diseases. It aims to clarify the mechanisms by which epigenetic changes affect memory and could lead to new therapies for cognitive disorders.
The emerging field of neuroepigenetics investigates processes such as histone-acetylation in the context ofneuronal plasticity, memory function and brain diseases.
My group has significantly contributed to this novelresearch field.
