The DESCRAMBLE project aims to develop advanced drilling technologies to access deep geothermal resources in continental Europe. It will conduct a proof-of-concept test by drilling further into an existing well in Italy to reach super-critical conditions, enhancing the potential for sustainable energy production.
The aim of the “Drilling in dEep, Super-CRitical AMBients of continentaL Europe:
DESCRAMBLE" project is to develop novel drilling technologies for a proof-of-concept test of reaching deep geothermal resources and to contribute to a low-carbon European society.
