The DESIRED project focuses on developing a novel system for producing multi-carbon solar fuels from CO2 and water using sunlight. By employing innovative photocatalysts and reactor designs, it aims to create sustainable energy solutions for sectors difficult to electrify.
Solar fuels, produced via solar driven CO2 and water conversion can contribute to drastically reducing GHG emissions and implement a man-made carbon-cycle complementing the natural-one, deploying the circular economy strategy.
