This project focuses on developing bio-based resin systems to replace traditional mineral oil plastics in aeronautical applications. It aims to create flame-retarded hybrid thermosetting polymers using functionalized plant oils and innovative synthesis methods to enhance performance and recyclability.
The aim of this project is the replacement of traditional mineral oil based plastics with innovative bio-based resin systems for aeronautical applications.
Due to the high quality requirements of this field this challenge is much larger than in other industrial segments, therefore the use of functionalized plant oils alone as bio-components of matrices in aeronautical composites is not enough.
