The DISCOVERY project investigates the catalytic properties of MXenes, focusing on their potential as thermal catalysts. It aims to apply advanced computational methods and experimental techniques to explore their effectiveness in various chemical reactions.
MXenes were discovered in 2011 and, since then, have attracted attention as electro- and photocatalysts.
In contrast, the ideal properties of MXenes as thermal catalysts remain almost unexplored, there being a very limited number of studies.
