This project examines the effects of climate variation and habitat diversity on the genetic structure and adaptation of blue tit populations. It employs advanced genetic sequencing and ecological analysis to understand how environmental changes influence gene flow and population resilience.
Current climate change is threatening biodiversity more than ever due to the speed at which climate variables are shifting.
Coupled with omnipresent land-use change, they are the two factors considered as the most important threats to terrestrial biodiversity.
