This project aims to identify genetic biomarkers that predict patient responses to cancer therapies. By using large-scale genetic screens, it seeks to discover new drug targets that are selectively toxic to cancer cells, enhancing personalized treatment options.
While significant progress has been made in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, several major issues remain unresolved.
First, only a minority of patients respond to most forms of (chemo)therapy.
